How Many Burr Ridge Homeowners Have Paid Off Their House?
Crain's Chicago Business reports 35.9 percent of Burr Ridge homeowners are mortgage-free and own their homes outright.

Communities with a large segment of senior citizens or high median incomes tend to have the highest percentage mortgage-free homes, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.
According to the Crain's analysis, of 3,665 Burr Ridge homeowners, 35.9 percent are mortgage-free. That's compared to 32.5 percent in Hinsdale, 26.6 percent in Clarendon Hills, 34.1 percent in Darien, and 49.1 percent in Willowbrook.
Burr Ridge's number is higher than the Chicagoland average, which is nearly 26 percent.
