New Year's 2019: What's Open, Closed In Burr Ridge

BURR RIDGE, IL — It's time to ring in the New Year in Burr Ridge, but just like last week, some area offices and businesses will be closed for New Year's Day and New Year's Eve. Schools are still on winter break and many will have the day off work to celebrate 2019.

Here's a list of what's open and what's closed on New Year's Day in Burr Ridge:

  • Post office: Closed
  • Federal offices: Closed
  • Village of Burr Ridge: Village hall will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
  • District 180: School resumes Jan. 7.
  • District 86: School resumes Jan. 8.
  • Indian Prairie Library: Closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
  • Banks: Closed
  • Gas stations: Open
  • Retail stores: Some will be closed, but many — including area grocery stores — will be open, but check the hours before you go.
