Pleasantdale Middle School Students to Stage "The Lion King Jr."

Performances Scheduled for Friday, March 3 at 7pm and Saturday, March 4 at 3pm

Students at Pleasantdale Middle School welcome the community to join in on the adventures of Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again during the spring musical production of “The Lion King Jr.” on Friday, March 3 at 7pm and Saturday, March 4 at 3pm. The musical will be held in Pleasantdale Middle’s North Gym, located at 7450 S. Wolf Rd. in Burr Ridge. Admission is free. Nearly 40 cast and crew members are involved in bringing this musical production to life, which is directed by Larry Neumann and Tony Tatina.

Students in grades 5-8 will bring the African savannah to life in this coming-of-age tale. Featured cast members include: Theo Calafeteanu as Rafiki, Dylan Bart as Scar, Gianna Imbarrato as Zazu, Nicole Trujillo as Young Nala, Abby Gertsmeier as Nala, Nathan Camba as Young Simba, Josh Rusu as Simba, and Sabrina Nelson as Timon.

“The Lion King Jr.” is adapted from the animated Disney film “The Lion King”.
