Recycle Cooking Oil from Your Thanksgiving Food

After the turkey is cooked, sliced and served, what do you do with all that leftover cooking oil?

SCARCE is hosting a liquid cooking oil recycling program on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. The program has recycling locations throughout DuPage County.

The garage is located within the fenced employee parking lot off Curtiss St (700 Curtiss) on the east end of the Village Hall complex. Please see any employee to drop off your liquids. There is no curbside collection and items are not permitted to be left unattended outside the building.

New Collection Bin at Jewel Osco in Wicker Park, Chicago
1341 N. Paulina Street (corner of Ashland and Milwaukee)
Chicago Biofuels has begun a pilot program at Jewel Osco to collect liquid vegetable cooking oil. 100% of the oil collected will be turned into Biodiesel. Stop by the Wicker Park Jewel to check out their outdoor bin.
