Seminar On Scams That Target Seniors Planned By Burr Ridge Cops
Common scams that target senior citizens will be discussed Wednesday night at the Burr Ridge police station.
BURR RIDGE, IL - The Burr Ridge Police Department will present a free seminar Wednesday informing residents of various scams that are used to target senior citizens. A number of topics will be discussed from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 at the Burr Ridge Police Station, 7700 County Line Road in Burr Ridge.
Topics will include ruse entry burglaries, grandparent scams, phone and social media scams, safety tips and what to do if you think you’ve been the victim of a scam, according to an e-blast from the village of Burr Ridge.
It's not necessary to sign up beforehand. Anyone can show up the night of the seminar.
