These 3 Burr Ridge Restaurants Are Top Moneymakers: Village
The other 19 eateries are far behind the top ones, official says.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge cannot provide exact revenues generated by local restaurants, but an official indicated last week which ones are the top revenue generators.
Three restaurants made more than $3 million in revenue in 2019 — Capri Ristorante, Cooper's Hawk and Hampton Social, said Evan Walter, the village's interim administrator. A big gap exists between those top three and the 19 other restaurants in Burr Ridge, he said.
As for detailed numbers, Walter said, "I obviously cannot disclose specific sales tax figures in public. That's a need-to-know thing between a very small amount of people."

The village knows the revenues for restaurants because it assesses a dining tax.
Last Monday, the issue of restaurant revenues came up during a Village Board discussion over whether the village should give financial assistance to eateries for a second year in a row. The money would help with outdoor dining, particularly tents.

The board voted unanimously for a $20,000 grant program in reimbursable expenses for restaurants' outdoor dining. Each restaurant could get up to $2,000. The program does not apply to those that generated more than $3 million in sales in 2019.
Board members agreed to discuss next month the possibility of a $20,000 grant program for small retailers.
