Vigilant Solicitor, Young Vandals: Burr Ridge Cops
Man visits house twice in a few days. The resident takes his photo.
BURR RIDGE, IL — In recent days, Burr Ridge police handled cases involving a vigilant solicitor, vandalism at a riding arena, suspicious men in suits, a concerned ex-girlfriend and a Social Security scam. Here is information from Burr Ridge police reports:
Repeated visits
- A resident in the 11600 block of Briarwood Lane told police that a man came to his door March 23 and March 28. When the resident took his photo, the man would ask why and leave. Through the village's camera system, an officer identified the car the man was in. The police said they had contact with the man a few days before. He was warned for soliciting for a roofing company without a permit. The resident was concerned the man may be connected to an open case the resident is pursuing with the attorney general's office. An officer said the department's findings indicate that the man's visits were likely unrelated.
