Woman Behind Burr Ridge Noise Complaints Praises Officials
She also expressed concern that the village identified her as the one who complained.

BURR RIDGE, IL — A Burr Ridge resident who has complained about noise from the nearby County Line Square praised the Village Board last week.
Resident Jennifer Fox was responding to trustees' statements at a meeting last week. They said they were disappointed in the noise coming from Capri Ristorante, the most recent complaints coming from Fox.
"I was pleasantly surprised to see that several of you (finally) spoke up about your disappointment, in light of the assurances that noise complaints were being taken seriously, when clearly they are/were not," Fox said in an email to village officials. "I’m also quite happy to hear that a long overdue noise ordinance is going to be put in place. I believe that those living and doing business in Burr Ridge can have a mutually beneficial relationship, as long as what’s right, fair and best for the Burr Ridge community as a whole is the goal."

Fox has spoken to the board before about her concerns about noise at County Line Square, including from County Wine Merchant. She said many of her neighbors are also frustrated, but afraid to come forward publicly.
After her most recent complaint against Capri, the restaurant's owner, Filippo "Gigi" Rovito, emailed her to apologize for the noise. She said she was concerned the village informed Rovito that she was behind the complaint.

"That aside, after speaking to not one, but two mayors from other villages that happen to be close, lifelong friends of mine, I find myself incredibly concerned," Fox said in last week's email. "I shared with them what’s transpired over the last several months and was told by both that it is highly unusual, not to mention unethical, that my information was shared with Mr. Rovito."
She said she has not received a response to that concern.
Fox said the village should do its job when it receives complaints, rather than share information about her with a restaurant owner. In the last instance, the village cited Capri.
