4 Family-Friendly Events Worth Checking Out in the Area This Weekend
It's Father's Day weekend. We've got some ideas for outdoor fun close to home at these area events.

Algonquin’s Art on the Fox will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday along the Fox River in downtown Algonquin.
Crystal Lake’s Cardboard Cup Regatta will be held this Saturday at Main Beach in Crystal Lake. The beach opens at 9 a.m. and races start at noon.

The Hooked on Fishing family events will be held on June 18 at Rush Creek Conservation Area in Harvard and on June 19 at The Hollows in Cary.

- Dairy Breakfast at Drendel Farm in Hampshire
Dale and Linda Drendel will host a 2016 Dairy Breakfast on their farm at 15N057 Walker Road in Hampshire from 6 to 11 a.m. Saturday. A donation of $8 for adults and $5 for kids 5-10 years-old will be collected at the farm. This donation includes breakfast (pancakes, sausage, applesauce, cheese, milk and Culver’s custard) and the farm activities. Family-friendly activities include: watching the cows be milked in a modern-day facility, visiting the baby calves, milk-a-cow booth, cow photo booth and kids’ crossword hunt with prizes.
