Algonquin Police Charge Woman with Hit and Run, Teens Arrested for Retail Theft

Hit and Run
Rebecca C. Gilmore, 65, of Parsons Road, West Dundee, was arrested at 9:02 a.m. Jan. 21, and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving too fast for conditions. She was taken into custody at Ridgefield Road and Tartans Drive. She was released on a personal recognizance bond after posting her drivers license. She is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 26.
Retail Theft
A 14-year-old Carpentersville boy and a 15-year-old Algonquin boy were arrested at 4:36 p.m. Jan. 21, and charged with retail theft. They were taken into custody at Meijer, 400 S. Randall Rd., Algonquin. They were both referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of their parents.
DUI
Chad A. Harrison, 28, of the 400 block of St. Johns Road, Woodstock, was arrested at 3:51 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to obey a police officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody at Prestwicke Drive and Algonquin Road. He posted $150 bond and his drivers license and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 19.

Alex P. Huffman, 23, of the 500 block of Gaslight Drive, Algonquin, was arrested at 9:59 p.m. Jan. 18, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08, and failure to reduce speed. He was taken into custody at N. River Road and Starr Drive. He posted $100 and his drivers license for bond and was released with a court date of March 5.
Domestic Battery
Guy R. Adams, 44, of the 1400 block of Springhill Dr., Algonquin, was arrested at 11:58 p.m. Jan. 17, and charged with domestic battery. He was transported to the Kane County Jail to await a bond hearing.

Wanted on Warrant
Samuel L. Dirck, 25, of the 1500 block of Richmond Ln., Algonquin, was arrested at 8:12 a.m. Jan. 20, on a warrant out of Kane County for battery. He posted $500 bond and was released with a court date of Feb. 20. Â
Driving While License Suspended
Jamie D. DePaul, 22, of Sierra Court, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 2:03 p.m. Jan. 22, and charged with driving while license suspended, no front plate and no proof of insurance. She was taken into custody at Routes 25 and 62. She posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Feb. 26.
