Bicyclist Hit By Car, Critically Injured
The bicyclist was flown by helicopter to a hospital following the collision in Woodstock Wednesday night.
WOODSTOCK, IL — A bicyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Woodstock Wednesday night, authorities said.
The collision occurred at about 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Dean Street and Lucas Road. When paramedics arrived, they found the bicyclist lying unconscious in the roadway and immediately initiated "life-saving measures."
The bicyclist sustained multiple traumatic, life-threatening injuries and was flown by helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center.

The driver of the car declined medical attention.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Woodstock Police Department.
