Volunteers for Summer's 'Blast on The Beach'
Volunteers are needed to help with treasure hunt set-up, assistance during treasure hunt, count attendees at the entrance gate, and more.

From Crystal Lake Park District: The Crystal Lake Park District is reaching out to individuals, groups, businesses and service organizations to enlist volunteer help to staff the Crystal Lake Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram/Crystal Lake Park District Blast on the Beach.
HOW CAN VOLUNTEERS HELP: To insure its continued success, volunteers are needed to help with treasure hunt set-up (Friday afternoon 8/5), assistance during treasure hunt, count attendees at the entrance gate, fun fair and food vendor set-up, game attendants, clean-up throughout the event and post-event clean up.
DATE: Saturday, August 5 (rain date Sunday, August 6)

LOCATION: Crystal Lake Main Beach. 300 Lakeshore Drive, Crystal Lake
WHAT: Crystal Lake Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram/Crystal Lake Park District Blast on the Beach' features a Kid's Fun Fair, a Craft Fair, a Treasure Hunt, food vendors, a beer/wine garden, and a live music performance by Dick Diamond and the Dusters.
HOW TO VOLUNTEER: There are many opportunities for all ages. Some volunteer duties are suited towards parent/child (minimum age 10) pairs. We ask that individual volunteers be a minimum age 14. Volunteers should plan on working an entire shift (2-3hrs). Volunteers will receive an event staff t-shirt. Contact Jessica Ortega at jortega@crystallakeparks.org, (815) 459-0680, ext. 1213
This event will truly be a 'Blast on the Beach' featuring:
- Performances by Pots and Pans Steelband throughout festival
- Craft Fair: 3-7 pm
- Fun Fair: 3-6 pm
- Black Diamond Treasure Hunt: 4 pm
- Live music by Dick Diamond and the Dusters: 6:30 pm
- Beer and Wine Garden: 3-9 pm
- Food Vendors: 3-9 pm
