Cary Man Faces Child Porn Charges

CARY, IL — A 32-year-old Cary man faces 15 counts of possession of child pornography following his arrest earlier this month.

In February, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security launched an investigation into Donald J. Schroeder, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office. During the investigation, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshal's Office obtained a search warrant for Schroeder's home.

On March 18, authorities searched the home in the 2400 block of Oakdale Terrace in unincorporated Cary.

A $100,000 bail has been set in the case.
