Set Your Storm Brush at the Curb Thursday Morning: Cary Pickup Times, Rules

Set your debris at the curb for a special, one-pass brush pickup this week by crews from the Village of Cary's Public Works Department.

CARY, IL - Crews from the Village of Cary Public Works Department will be conducting a special storm brush pickup this Thursday, July 27.

Only one pass will be made through each area and no callbacks will be allowed. If brush is placed at the curb after village staff have completed their routes, it will not be picked up. Branches and limbs must be set and ready for retrieval by 7 a.m. Thursday, officials said.

  • Pickups will be limited to storm damage only. Large and small branches that have fallen during the recent storm activities will be collected.
  • No whole trees or tree trunks will be removed. If the removal of an entire tree is required, residents should contact a licensed tree removal contractor.
  • Smaller twigs, brush and thorny material are to be bundled or put into the appropriate container or yard waste bags as part of your regular refuse collection day pickup. Root balls cannot be accepted as part of the brush pickup program.
