FaithBridge, a group of local faith communities, is holding a prayer breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at D'Andrea Banquets (4419 Highway #14, Crystal Lake). The theme for this year’s event is “My Dream for the World," according to a release.
The program will include a Call to Prayer plus group prayer with participants from a variety of local faith traditions including Islamic, Hindu, Jewish, Buddhist, Christian and New Thought, according to a release.
Plemon T. El-Amin, Imam Emeritus of the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam, one of the largest and most progressive mosques in the United States, is keynote speaker. His topic will be “The Internationalism of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”
