COVID-19 Forces Woodstock Restaurant To Close Temporarily

The Public House of Woodstock will remain closed through July 9.

WOODSTOCK, IL — The Public House of Woodstock has shut its doors for the next two weeks after an employee came into direct contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19. In an announcement posted on the Public House of Woodstock Facebook page, owners Brian and Kathryn Loprino announced Thursday that the restaurant would close down until July 9 to allow employees to quarantine and to be tested for the virus and for staff to deep clean and sanitize the restaurant.

The employee who came in direct contact with the person who tested positive for COVID-19 has been tested and has not presented any symptoms, according to the announcement. But the results from the test will not be available for a couple days.

"As always, we pride ourselves on the integrity and level of excellence we strive to offer our guests and staff alike as a business," according to the announcement. "Transparency is imperative in reducing the spread of COVID19 and although we don't feel threatened as a staff or business it would be negligent to not be forthcoming with our community."
