COVID-19 Testing Site In Waukegan Is Moving

The new site will be located at the corner of Water Street and Sheridan Road.

WAUKEGAN, IL — Waukegan's COVID-19 testing site will be relocated to parking lot F at 102 W. Water Street, which is at the corner of Water Street and Sheridan Road, to accommodate IEPA Emission Testing. The new site will open Thursday, according to a city of Waukegan Facebook post.

Those stopping out at the site can enter by driving east on Washington Street to Sheridan Road, south on Sheridan to Water Street and west on Water and into the parking. All people with COVID-19 symptoms are encouraged to be tested.

  • Healthcare workers
  • First Responders
  • Employees of correctional facilities
  • Individuals exposed to confirmed COVID-19 patients
  • Employees that support Critical Infrastructure (grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, gas stations, public utilities, factories, childcare and sanitation)
  • All local and state government employees
  • Individuals with compromised immune systems, chronic medical conditions

The site will operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until all 750 tests have been used. Additional information related to COVID-19 may be found at www.dph.illinois.gov.
