Crowds Pack Norge Ski Tournament

Amid excitement that three of its own would soon be competing in the winter Olympics, crowds packed Norge ski hill during this past weekend’s winter tournament. Mild temps sweetened the deal for those who sat on blankets and chairs along hills facing the ski hills.

In recent weeks, three Norge skiers had been named to the U.S. winter Olympic ski jumping team. Kevin Bickner, 21, of Wauconda; Corey Larson, 19, of Barrington; and Michael Glasder, of Cary all got their start at the local ski hill and will be headed soon to Pyeongchang, South Korea.
