Crystal Lake-Cary Week Ahead Weather: Snow Threatens
The NW suburbs area will see snow throughout the week, with sunny days peeking through here and there.

CRYSTAL LAKE-CARY, IL — We should expect to see some rough weather this week, with wet snow and wind dominating much of the week's forecast. Temperatures will be cold, with a high of 36 on Monday only to drop throughout the week.
Monday we will see precipitation much of the day, with a mix of snow and rain. Winds will be strong, with gusts as high as 35 mph Monday night.
Tuesday will clear up, but it will be bitterly cold with a high temperature of 19, brought down with wind chill values as low as 1, dropping to -1 throughout the night.

Snow may come back Wednesday, which is expected to turn into freezing rain late at night, and back to snow after midnight. The snow is expected to continue through Thursday morning, finally yielding to dry, partly sunny skies by Friday.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook, warning residents of a high wind risk as well as a snow risk. The snow is expected north of the I-90 corridor.

A chance of snow before 10pm, then a chance of flurries after 10pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 16. Blustery, with a north northwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

A chance of flurries before 7am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 18. Wind chill values as low as 1. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 8. Wind chill values as low as -1. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
Wednesday:
