Crystal Lake Police Reward Children For Good Deeds

Crystal Lake police are on the lookout for awesome kids doing awesome things.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Crystal Lake police are on a mission to find awesome kids doing awesome things. The department recently announced it will be rewarding children they spot putting safety first or going the extra mile to help make their community better.

"Crystal Lake Police Officers will be out looking for children not only wearing their bike helmets, but also doing good deeds throughout the community," the department recently posted on its Facebook page.

According to the police department, if an officer witnesses a child doing something good, he or she will give them a coupon for a free donut for Country Donuts, a free ice cream from Culver's, free fries from Breaking Bread Catering & Deli or a free pie/vanilla cone from McDonald's.
