Employee Dies After Fall At Manufacturing Plant

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 66-year-old Waukegan man has died after falling at a Lake County manufacturing plant Tuesday.

Jose Perez-Rodriguez fell about 20 feet from a lift in the warehouse area of Handi-Foil in Antioch at about 6:40 p.m. The Handi-Foil employee was rushed to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where he died in the emergency room according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner's Office.

Preliminary autopsy results show Perez-Rodriguez died from multiple blunt force injuries, Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek said in a statement Wednesday.

The Antioch Police Department and Lake County Coroner's Office is investigating the incident.
