Endangering Child, DUI, Battery Charges: Crystal Lake Blotter

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Police Department made the following arrests in recent weeks:

April 1: Police arrested Esperanza Angel Montano, 22, of the 1900 block of Lotus Drive in Round Lake, on April 1. He is charged with domestic battery/physical contact, resisting a peace officer/correctional employee and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. The case was turned over to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

April 1: Richard Antoni White, 59, of the 6900 block of Cregier Avenue in North Chicago, was arrested on April 1. He is charged with identity theft <$300, theft, and false impersonation/defraud another. He was turned over to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

April 3: Michael Cary Peterson, 57, of the 6600 block of Rose Avenue in Crystal Lake, was arrested on April 3. He is charged with DUI/Drugs and unlawful to knowingly possess a controlled or counterfeit substance. The case was turned over to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

April 4: Police arrested Ronald Jeremiah Brainer, of the 700 block of N. Salem in Hoffman Estates, on April 4. He is charged with domestic battery/physical contact, domestic battery/bodily harm and violate order of protection. The case was turned over to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

April 5: Mario Santana, 25, of the 4000 block of Spaulding Avenue in Chicago, was arrested on April 5 and charged with driving/never issued license/no driver's license and possession/display of an altered ID card. He was released from custody and is next expected in court on May 21.

April 6: Claudia Ivone Cortes, 33, of the 700 block of McHenry Avenue in Crystal Lake, was arrested on April 6 and charged with causing circumstances/endangering a child. She was released and is next expected in court on May 25.

April 10: Ricardo Fausto Ballesteros, 42, of the 300 block of West Terra Cotta Avenue in Crystal Lake, was arrested on April 10 and charged with causing child to be endangered. He was released and is next expected in court on May 25.

April 10: Erika Lorena Castillo Martinez, 26, of the 300 block of West Terra Cotta Avenue in Crystal Lake, was arrested on April 10 and charged with causing child to be endangered. He was released and is next expected in court on May 25.

April 10: Michael Duane Townsend, 51, of Crivitz, Wisconsin, was arrested on April 10 and charged with obstructing identification, DUI/drugs and driving on a revoked license. He was released from custody and is next expected in court on May 18.

April 10: Peter J. Steirer, 63, of the 2000 block of Willow Brooke Drive in Woodstock, was arrested on April 10 on an in-state bond forfeiture warrant. He was released and is next expected in court on April 21.

April 10: Ramon A. Villafane, 35, of the 300 block of Vandalia Street in Elgin, was arrested on April 10 and charged with driving on a suspended license. He was released from custody and is next expected in court on May 18.

April 11: Ana Maria Elizarraraz, 30, of the 7900 block of Ridgefield Road in Crystal Lake, was arrested on a warrant on April. He is charged with disorderly conduct.
