Fire Destroys Home Near Cary
A firefighter was injured in the blaze, which broke out in a home in the 500 block of Holly Lynn Drive in Cary.
CARY, IL — A firefighter was taken to a hospital following a blaze that destroyed a home in unincorporated Cary on Monday.
There was no inside the two-story home when the fire broke out in the 500 block of Holly Lynn Drive at about 6:40 a.m., according to a news release from the Cary Fire Protection Department.
Several fire departments were called to the scene to assist with the blaze, which was in an area that did not have any fire hydrants. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by 8:16 a.m., according to the news release.

A Cary Fire Department firefighter reported not well following the fire and was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. He was listed in good condition.
The home is a complete loss, according to fire officials.

The Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal is investigating the blaze.
