July 4 Festivities

Cary: Summer Celebration, Fireworks Called Off

This year's Cary Summer Celebration and fireworks show will not be happening this year. In a statement posted on the Cary Park District's Facebook page, officials explained why:

Although large events and festivals are allowed in Phase 5, the Park District planned for summer events several months ago and during that planning had to use the best information available at that time. Ultimately it was decided during the planning stage that Summer Celebration and the fireworks display associated with that event will not be held this year. However, we will be offering our Summer Concert Series, Movie in the Park, and hundreds of recreation programs throughout the summer.
