Food on Facebook: 4 Ingredient No-Bake Cheesecake

Recipes shared on Facebook.

Facebook.com is a great way to stay in touch with friends and family, but it's also serving as a platform for sharing favorite recipes. Some of the dishes are delish, and others don't live up to the endorsements.

Here's a recipe for "4 Ingredient, No-Bake Cheesecake" that was shared 725 times on Magic of the Seasons Facebook page and looks like a winner. Plus, it's only supposed to take five minute to make.

4 Ingredient, No-Bake Cheesecake

  • 1 Can of sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.)
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip
  • 1/3 Cup of lemon or lime juice
  • 8 oz. Package of cream cheese.

Directions:

The most important part of this recipe is to leave the cream cheese out for a couple hours at room temperature. The cream cheese will become soft and smooth, and create a smooth texture for the pie. (Not doing so, will create horrible lumps of cream cheese).

After the ream cheese is softened enough, test to see if it spreads easily with a plastic spatula.

In a mixing bowl, mix all ingredients. Add the lemon/lime juice last. The reaction of the citrus juice will start to harden the pie mixture almost immediately.

On low speed, blend well with mixer (about 2 minutes), making sure all ingredients are incorporated.

Immediately pour mixture into a waiting graham crust. Refrigerate for 1 to 1.5 hours. Serve chilled.
