A parade and concert will be held in honor of Kinstler, a Lakewood native who made it to the finale of "American Idol."
LAKEWOOD, IL — A parade honoring a 20-year-old Lakewood native who has made it to the finale on "American Idol" will be held Tuesday. Tickets for a concert, which will take place Tuesday evening after the parade have sold out.
Kinstler, 20, of Lakewood, is expected to take the stage at 6 p.m. at RedTail Golf Club, 7900 Redtail Drive. She will film a segment for American Idol, which is set to air Sunday.
Kinstler sang Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This" during her Sunday performance on "American Idol." She also sang her new single "Love Someone," which has more than 145,000 views on YouTube as of Tuesday morning.

"Your voice is vocal pyro(technics)," Luke Bryan, an American Idol judge and country singer, told Kinstler Sunday.

Meanwhile, a parade will be held downtown Crystal Lake on Tuesday in honor of Kinstler. Parking will be available starting at 1 p.m. in public lots. The parade is planned to step off between 4 and 5:30 p.m. from Walkup Avenue to Grant Street to Woodstock Street to Williams Street.
The parade will end at the Raue Center for Arts. Masks and social distancing is required along the parade route.
Filming at RedTail Golf Club will begin at 6 p.m. and a concert will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets have sold out for the event, Lakewood officials announced on Facebook.
Sales from the event will be used to cover the cost of the event, according to village officials in Lakewood. Kinstler is one of three performers left competing during this season of "American Idol."
