In the past week, the daily average for shots administered statewide has dropped from 63,000 to 55,499.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — As more vaccinations are doled out daily, and the state continues to lift restrictions amid low positivity rates, we wanted to keep you up-to-date with the latest COVID-19 stats here and statewide.

Here is a look at the latest COVID-19 data and vaccination stats as of Feb. 23:

  • Vaccines administered statewide: 2,254,983
  • 590,854 people who've been fully vaccinated, which is 4.64 percent of the state's total population.
  • Daily average of doses administered (7-day rolling average): 55,917
  • How does that compare to a week ago? A decrease in doses; the daily average for shots administered a week earlier was 63,772
  • Total confirmed coronavirus cases in Illinois to date: 1,177,320
  • Confirmed deaths: 20,330
  • Variant cases: 43
