Local Election Results: Crystal Lake District 155 School Board
Nine candidates ran for three seats on the Crystal Lake District 155 school board.

The only incumbent running for the Community High School District 155 board of education was not re-elected Tuesday night. Preliminary results with 80 of 80 precincts reporting show that the three seats will go to Rosemary Kurtz, with 4,352 votes, Amy Blaziers with 5,220 and Adam Guss with 3,035 votes.
The district is facing a number of issues - common core standards, the issue of standardized tests, controversial bleachers and a lawsuit about adjacent property are all issues facing those elected to the school board on Tuesday.
Only one incumbent - Karen Whitman - sought re-election to the Crystal Lake District 155 School Board. The rest of the candidates were newcomers to the table. Whitman had a total of 1,796 votes.

A total of 22,089 votes were cast in this race Tuesday.
