McHenry Co. Restaurant Week Continues This Weekend

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — McHenry County Restaurant Week is set to wrap up this weekend.

The third annual event continues through Feb. 28 and includes restaurants from Algonquin, Woodstock, Cary, McHenry, Hebron, Lakemoor, Huntley and Crystal Lake, according to a news release.

More than a dozen restaurants will have special menus, discounts and deals.

“As most people are aware, the pandemic has hit our amazing eateries and their employees especially hard,” said Jaki Berggren, executive director of Visit McHenry County, a Huntley-based nonprofit that markets the area’s unique shops, restaurants, events and points of interest to enhance the experience of visitors and residents alike.

“We are especially hopeful that, now more than ever, people will check out all of the amazing restaurants, craft breweries, gastro pubs and more that are featured in this year’s restaurant week lineup,” said Berggren. “There are take-out and dine-in options to suit all tastes and budgets.”

• Cary Ale House & Brewing Co., Cary
• Casting Whimsy, Woodstock
• Ethereal Confections, Woodstock
• Shadowview Brewing, Woodstock
• Crystal Lake Brewing, Crystal Lake
• El Molino Pizzeria & Bakery, Crystal Lake
• Duke’s Ale House and Kitchen, Crystal Lake
• Cullom Knoll, McCullom Lake
• Hoops Sports Bar & Grill, Hebron
• The Longshot Pub, Lakemoor
• Richmond Café, Richmond
• Huntley’s Tacos Locos, Huntley

Here is a closer look at some of the deals:

• A dinner for two featuring lobster tail, filet medallions, garlic mashed potatoes, house salad and stuffed mushroom appetizers is among the fare to be featured at Port Edward’s. The Algonquin restaurant is offering this restaurant week deal for $60.
• Offsides in Woodstock is offering a free appetizer hen you dine in and mention code “restaurant week.”
• Lucky Bernie’s in Spring Grove, Woodstock or Huntley has a buy a sandwich, get your second half off or a $2 off any pizza deal.
