'Anomalies' Reported In McHenry County Election Results

The McHenry County Clerk's office said it determined "some races were misreported." Results are expected to be counted again on Thursday.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — McHenry County officials on Wednesday were working to determine the cause of "some anomalies" found in results from Tuesday's election.

According to a notice posted on the county's election results page, the county clerk's office, along with election hardware and software vendors, worked "late into the night and earlier into the morning" to determine the cause of tabulation issues.

The clerk's office expects to count votes again on Thursday, according to the notice.

As of Wednesday afternoon, all election data had been removed from the county's elections results page.

McHenry County Clerk and Recorder Joe Tirio did not immediately respond to a request for more information. This story could be updated.
