New Restaurants, Boutique Open In Crystal Lake

Nana's New York Deli, Quisqueya Punta Cana Restaurant and Lizzy Lou Boutique are among the businesses that have recently opened.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A deli that serves up New York-style salads, soups and sandwiches opened Monday in Crystal Lake. Nana's New York Deli is owned by Dan and Tammy Bailenson of Woodstock, the Northwest Herald is reporting.

The menu at the new restaurant, located at 6220 Northwest Highway, will include hot pastrami, Italian beef, New York-stile corned beef and turkey sandwiches; homemade chicken salad; egg salad; chili and matzo ball soup.

Dan Bailenson posted a "sneak peak" at the deli's menu on the restaurant's Facebook page in recent days. The restaurant is offering delivery, carry-out and curbside pickup.

According to the city of Crystal Lake's recent newsletter, other businesses that have opened recently in Crystal Lake include:

  • Quisqueya Punta Cana Restaurant, 35 Berkshire Drive, Unit 10: A new Dominican fast food restaurant has empanadas, yaroa, chimi plates, and batidas (smoothies).
  • Lizzy Lou Boutique, 17 E. Crystal Lake Avenue: A women and baby boutique located in downtown Crystal Lake.
  • Tropical Smoothie Cafe, 5006 Northwest Highway: Offers a wide array of smoothies and nutritious sandwich options.
