Paving Work On Route 14, Virginia Road Could Snarl Traffic
The paving work is part of an intersection improvement project for the busy Route 14 and Virginia Road intersection in Crystal Lake.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Drivers should expect delays in the area of Virginia Road and Route 14 Thursday as paving work gets underway. Paving will start on Virginia Road at 6 a.m. and then move on to Route 14.
The paving work is expected to wrap up by 7 or 8 p.m. Thursday, according to the city of Crystal Lake.
The paving is part of improvements underway at the heavily-traveled intersection of Route 14 and Virginia Road. The project will include a second left-turn lane on Virginia Road, an addition of an eastbound right-turn lane on Route 14, an upgrade to traffic signal equipment, pedestrian accommodations and bike lane striping along Virginia Road to Berkshire Lane, according to the city of Crystal Lake.
