Public Works Crews Start Curbside Collection of Storm-Damaged Brush
Residents may set their storm-damaged foliage scraps at the curb for retrieval this week.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL - Aside from widespread flooding, the area's recent storms have ravaged Crystal Lake's foliage, spurring a cleanup effort that kicks off this week.
Crystal Lake Public Works crews will begin collecting storm-related brush this Thursday, July 27. They ask that residents have their debris waiting at the curb prior to 7 a.m. that morning.
"Due to the extent of the storm damage, we are requesting resident’s cooperation in limiting the brush and limbs to recent storm damage only," officials said, in a community alert. "The brush must be (less than) 6 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter."
