Scouting For Food Success - Saturday March 13th

BSA Troop 127 Collects A Ton of Food for CL Food Pantry

Annually, the Cub Scouts of Pack 127 and BSA Scouts of Troop 127 collect more food and supplies for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry than any other local scouting organization. The decision of holding this year's event was delayed until Covid-related concerns were addressed that pushed back the event date by a week.

Despite the change of dates, Pack 127 members distributed flyers to hundreds of homes surrounding St. Thomas the Apostle Church on Oak Street on March 6th. Troop 127 members collected donations on March 13th totaling 2,231 pounds of food and paper goods plus $100 in cash donations for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.

Both Pack 127 and Troop 127 are sponsored by the Notre Dame Club of McHenry County.
