What’s better than sitting outside on your deck looking out over a gorgeous golf course or simply enjoying the refreshing air? Being able to do so nearly year round. At The Lakes of Boulder Ridge, that’s a possibility when buyers add a screened-in porch to their brand-new home.

Even better—Plote Homes is offering a free screened-in porch to all new homebuyers at the Lake In The Hills community this weekend.

“The screened-in porch is one of our most requested options,” said Scott Ballard, director of homebuilding for Plote Homes. “So to kick off the spring season, we’re offering it for free…but only for a limited time.”

The Lakes of Boulder Ridge is a meticulously well-manicured neighborhood nestled within the Boulder Ridge Country Club. Developed by Plote Homes, the community offers both duplexes and detached homes.

Buyers can choose from two duplex plans. Base prices range from $321,900 to $351,900 for ranch designs with 1,710 to 1,944 square feet of space, two bedrooms, two baths, and two-car garages.

In addition, four designs are offered for the detached homes. They have 1,710 to 2,243 square feet of space, two bedrooms, two baths, and two-car garages for base prices that range from $384,900 to $420,900.

A screened-in porch was a key reason Ken and Sandy Ozimek purchased at The Lakes of Boulder Ridge. The couple chose a homesite overlooking the renowned Boulder Ridge golf course—putting them about 20 yards from the fairway and 50 yards from the green.

“The view is sublime,” said Ken Ozimek. “Not only do we have a panoramic view all the way down the fairway, directly across from the course is a protected wetlands area.”

As a result, the Ozimek’s new neighbors include sand hill cranes, egrets, barn swallows, Canadian geese, and all sorts of wildlife.

“We can sit out on our deck and enjoy the peaceful, quiet ambiance,” he continued. “It’s so calming.”

Jim and Anissa Pietrarosso also upgraded their deck to a screened-in porch.

“It’s one of our favorite features,” said Anissa Pietrarosso. “We can sit outside with a cup of coffee and read or simply relax. It’s nice for entertaining, too.”

Since the duplexes surround the Boulder Ridge golf course, many back up to the greens, fairways or water features. However, only a limited number of homes with stunning golf course vistas still are available.

“As the northwest suburbs’ premier country club community, the property truly is spectacular—especially during the spring when nature begins to bloom,” said Ballard. “With the screened-in porch, owners can sit outdoors more comfortably for more of the year and really experience the country club ambiance.”

And, since The Lakes of Boulder Ridge offers a low maintenance lifestyle, homeowners have more time to enjoy their neighborhood—they can become country club members and dine or golf any time. All yard work and landscaping year-round is handled by the homeowners’ association as is snow removal in the winter.

“When we would drive through the neighborhood, we were always so impressed with how well maintained it is,” said Jim Pietrarosso, who already was a member of the Boulder Ridge Country Cub prior to moving into the community.

Beyond the incredible setting at The Lakes of Boulder Ridge, being able to get exactly what they wanted was a major factor in the Ozimeks choosing a new home…and working with Plote Homes.

“Plote offers more options than a standard homebuilder and is willing to do customization,” said Ken Ozimek.

This ability to personalize and build a home from the ground up is a main attraction for most new-home buyers, Ballard added. However, Plote Homes also offers a selection of homes ready for quick move-in for those who prefer a shorter timeline. Depending on the stage of construction, new-home purchasers may still be able to pick flooring, countertops, fixtures and other finishing details to suit their tastes.

A quick move-in home was the option the Pietrarossos chose. Their house was just at the foundation stage when they purchased it so they still were able to add all their own personal touches.

Whether building a quick move-in home or one specifically for a client, Plote Homes is dedicated to providing excellent service and a superior level of craftsmanship.

“We have built with Plote Homes twice—nearly 15 years apart—and each was a wonderful experience,” Jim Pietrarosso said. “Everyone really went above and beyond. And Plote Homes delivers a top-notch product.”

The Ozimeks agreed. “Everything we wanted in a new home—quality construction, a low-maintenance setting and golf course views—came together at The Lakes of Boulder Ridge,” Ken Ozimek concluded.

To visit The Lakes of Boulder Ridge, take Algonquin Road and turn north at Frank Road. The community is west of Randall Road and east of North Lakewood Road in Lake In The Hills.

The model at 4885 Coyote Lakes Circle is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Tuesday (closed Wednesday and Thursday). For more information on this weekend’s limited-time spring promotion of a free screened-in porch, call (847) 854-3008 or log onto the website at www.PloteHomes.com.
