Semi Sideways Across Route 83 Closes Roadway
Authorities say no one was injured in the crash Wednesday night.

LONG GROVE, IL -- A crash involving a semi on Route 83 in Long Grove snarled traffic Wednesday night. The Lake County Sheriff's Office reported in a tweet that the crash closed down southbound Route 83 at Westmoreland and forced officials to reduce northbound traffic to just one lane as crews worked to clean up the mess and remove the semi from traffic. The semi ended up sideways across the lanes of traffic and into the ditch.
Cleanup efforts and the road closures were reported by the sheriff's office just before 8 p.m.
