Teen Airlifted To Hospital In McHenry Co. Crash
The two-vehicle collision happened Tuesday afternoon near Spring Grove.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A Johnsburg teen was airlifted to a suburban hospital Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash near Spring Grove.
The collision occurred at about 3:30 p.m. when a 2009 Ford Focus was heading east on Miller Road and collided with a Ford F-350 heading south on Wilmot Road in unincorporated Spring Grove, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a 17-year-old Johnsburg girl, failed to yield at the intersection, authorities said. After she pulled into traffic on Wilmot Road, the Ford F-350 hit the Ford Focus.

The girl was taken by helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where she is listed in stable condition, according to authorities. The driver of the Ford F-350, a 49-year-old Johnsburg man, was treated and released at the scene.
Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. Citations may be issued following an investigation into the crash, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
