Tickets Available For Great Outdoors Beer Trail

"This is a great way for the Conservation District to reach new audiences in a unique way who may enjoy the outdoors."

From the McHenry County Conservation District: Embrace your appreciation of the outdoors and McHenry County’s wide open spaces at the 3rd annual special event, The Great Outdoors Beer Trail, on Saturday, August 17from 2–6 p.m. at Fel-Pro RRR Conservation Area, 1520 Crystal Lake Rd., in Cary.

If you love sampling good craft beer and spending time outdoors, this event is for you! Event goers can walk the one mile partially wooded, paved path while visiting various regional brewers along the trail. Play a quick game of bags or horseshoes, sit under a tree in the shade and listen to live music by Lara Belle. Fixin’ up some great eats on site will be food trucks by Your Sister’s Tomato (wood fired pizza) and Fork n Fry (poutine).

“This is a great way for the Conservation District to reach new audiences in a unique way who may enjoy the outdoors, but are not familiar with the great conservation areas and open spaces we have here in McHenry County,” said Education Program Coordinator. “This is the third year of the event that is designed as a fundraiser for the District to help support future outdoor recreational amenities. We hope to see the event grow each year.”
