Woman Arrested May be Linked to Grayslake and Crystal Lake Chase Bank Robberies

A woman has been taken into custody in the McHenry County area in conjunction with the Chase Bank Robbery in Grayslake on March 24, Grayslake Police are reporting.

Terese M. Knowles, 40, of Volo, Illinois, is currently being held in the McHenry County Jail.

It is not known if this is the same woman wanted for robbing the Chase Bank in Crystal Lake on March 28.

Crystal Lake Police Commander Dan Dziewior said the investigation is being coordinated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

“Crystal Lake has no one in custody and no one has been charged in Crystal Lake robbery,” Dziewior said.

He said he understands a third robbery attempt took place in Johnsberg Illinois that resulted in Knowles’ arrest.
