Woman Robs Chase Bank; Police Seek Help

At a little after 11 a.m. Saturday, a woman robbed the Chase Bank at 1185 South Route 31 in Crystal Lake. When police arrived, they were told the suspect had entered the bank and displayed a note to the teller demanding cash, police reported in a written release. The suspect did not display a weapon.

“Witness accounts indicated that after receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene in a black colored SUV which was described as possibly a Nissan Rogue and was last observed northbound on Route 31 from the area,” police stated.

Witnesses described the suspect as:

• A white female
• in her mid-thirties
• between 5’4” and 5’7” tall
• 160-200 pounds
• with dark-colored hair

The female suspect was further described to be wearing:

• a three-quarter length, black windbreaker-style jacket with a hood
• a black-colored hat
• eyeglasses
• black pants
• black athletic shoes with white soles
• The suspect also carried a pink purse or handbag
