Woman Robs Chase Bank; Police Seek Help
The robbery occurred Saturday morning at the Chase Bank in Crystal Lake.

At a little after 11 a.m. Saturday, a woman robbed the Chase Bank at 1185 South Route 31 in Crystal Lake. When police arrived, they were told the suspect had entered the bank and displayed a note to the teller demanding cash, police reported in a written release. The suspect did not display a weapon.
“Witness accounts indicated that after receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene in a black colored SUV which was described as possibly a Nissan Rogue and was last observed northbound on Route 31 from the area,” police stated.
Witnesses described the suspect as:

- A white female
- in her mid-thirties
- between 5’4” and 5’7” tall
- 160-200 pounds
- with dark-colored hair
The female suspect was further described to be wearing:
- a three-quarter length, black windbreaker-style jacket with a hood
- a black-colored hat
- eyeglasses
- black pants
- black athletic shoes with white soles
- The suspect also carried a pink purse or handbag
