$25K In Jewelry Stolen During Downers Grove Burglary: Cops

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — At least $25,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a Downers Grove home during a recent burglary, according to police. The burglary took place Jan. 23 in the 1700 block of Monmouth Drive.

Police say the home's residents left around 3:30 p.m. and returned around 8:30 p.m. to find the basement window on the home's west wall had been broken. Among the items reported stolen from the home were a white gold ring valued at $15,000 and a women's watch valued at $10,000.
