3-Car Crash Reported On Butterfield In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A three-car crash downed a utility pole and snagged traffic in the 1200 block of Butterfield Road in Downers Grove Tuesday afternoon.

According to a preliminary investigation, one of the cars rolled over and crashed into a utility pole, causing it to fall, Downers Grove police spokesperson Bill Budds told Patch. As of 4 p.m., Budds said no serious injuries or fatalities had been reported in connection with the crash.

Motorists were advised to avoid the westbound Butterfield from Highland Avenue to Downers Drive in the aftermath of the crash.
