45 New Coronavirus Cases In 1 Week In Downers Grove
Since March 2020, Downers Grove has seen 3,539 coronavirus cases, according to DuPage County Health Department.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Downers Grove has increased by 45 cases in the past week, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). This reflects a slight decrease from the previous week, which showed an increase of 55 cases.
As of March 2, the village had reported 3,494 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 3,539 as of March 9, reflecting a rise of 1.3 percent. The previous week's increase was 1.6 percent.

DuPage County recently reported that close to one in seven residents had received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. The county also marked another milestone as its overall coronavirus positivity rate dropped to its lowest point since June 2020.
The risk of transmission in DuPage County is currently classified as "substantial."
