DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- Visitation and funeral services have been set for Beth Dunlap, a Downers Grove junior who was fatally hit by a car on Feb. 19. In lieu of flowers, her family is asking that mourners honor Beth's memory by donating to a trust to benefit First United Methodist Church and to help kickstart a private charitable fund to aid underprivileged youth volleyball players.

The Beth Dunlap 18 Fund aims to celebrate the positive spirit of the 17-year-old varsity volleyball player, whose tragic death has inspired classmates, staff, and community members to perform 18 acts of kindness. According to Dunlap's obituary, the Beth Dunlap 18 Fund will perform 18 acts of kindness in the volleyball community each year in Beth's memory.

Donations can be made to the Beth Dunlap 18 Fund at any Chase Bank, her memorial states.
