Body Pulled from Downers Grove Pond
The elderly man's body was discovered Monday morning, police said.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The body of an elderly man was found in a Downers Grove pond the morning of July 4, police said in a release.
Police and fire departments were called to a pond in the 200 block of Village Drive around 9:30 a.m. Monday, after a person reported seeing a body in the pond. The Oak Trace Retirement Community, which is located on that same block, was notified of the incident. Officials are working with authorities.
Police have no other information about the man. The DuPage County Coroner responded to the scene, and authorities are working to identify him.
