Brazilian Rainbow Boa Reported Missing In Downers Grove Found

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Update: The boa's owner told Patch the snake has since been found.

The owner of a Brazilian rainbow boa is asking for the public's help finding her snake. The snake, which is not venomous, got out of its enclosure and went missing Monday near the corner of Fairview and Maple in Downers Grove, owner Kimberly Basarich told Patch.

Basarich told Patch she believes the snake may have gotten outside.

Basarich said the boa is "actually quite friendly," but is worried that if someone finds him that "they'll kill him because they are scared."
