Bridge Construction Will Slow Wheaton Traffic Thursday, Early Friday

We have a list of what's going on when, so you can avoid the hassle.

The installation of a new bridge in Hanover Park will obstruct traffic in Wheaton starting this Thursday.

The bridge, which will be built about halfway between Schick Rd. and Greenbrook Blvd., will be connecting Hawk Hollow Forest Preserve and Mallard Lake Forest Preserve in Hanover park, a DuPage County press release states, and the installation will span just two days.

Concrete bridge piers have already been installed, and the rest of the bridge will be delivered to the building site in sections. The project in its entirety also includes the addition of new paths to the area and is an undertaking of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and the Illinois Department of Transportation.
