Catalytic Converter Stolen, Package Pilfered In Downers Grove: PD
Downers Grove's crime blotter for the week of May 17 includes a stolen catalytic converter and a package theft.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A resident's catalytic converter was cut from their car, a package was stolen, and other incidents were reported in the Downers Grove Police Department's crime blotter for the week of May 17.
Catalytic Converter Stolen in 400 Block of Wilson Street
A resident told police that they believe someone cut the catalytic converter from their car while it was parked inside their garage and the garage door had been left open. The incident took place sometime between May 8 and May 12, according to a police report. The loss was estimated at $1500.

Car Damaged in 2100 Block of Prentiss Drive

Police say a car was vandalized in the 2100 block of Prentiss Drive sometime between 8 p.m. on May 13 and 8 a.m. on May 14. A police report states that the resident reported the car had "multiple scratch marks" on both doors, the trunk and the hood.
Package Stolen in 7300 Block of Northgate Way
A resident told police that a package they ordered from eBay was stolen from the common area of the building they live in sometime between 2:46 p.m. and 4 p.m. on May 15.
