Christmas Tree Collection, Recycling Begins In Downers Grove
Residents can leave their live trees out for curbside pickup or drop them off at two locations in the village for recycling.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The winter holiday season has come and gone, so now it's time to dispose of live Christmas trees. Downers Grove residents can leave their live trees out for curbside pickup or recycle them by dropping them off with the Downers Grove Park District.
Republic Services will conduct curbside pickup of live Christmas trees on regular trash pickup days from Jan. 4 through Jan. 15. Residents should remove lights, tinsel, garland, ornaments and other decorations before placing their trees on the curb for pickup. Additionally, trees should not be placed in plastic bags.
Residents can also drop off their trees at two Downers Grove Park District locations for recycling. The locations are:

Christmas tree recycling will be available at the above locations through Jan. 11.
