Coronavirus Case Counts Increase By 2.3 Percent In Downers Grove
Since March 2020, Downers Grove has seen 3,906 confirmed coronavirus cases, according to DuPage County Health Department.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Downers Grove has increased by 90 cases in the past six days, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). This week's increase is greater than last week's, which showed a rise of 78 cases.
As of April 7, the village had reported 3,816 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 3,906 as of April 13, reflecting a rise of just over 2.3 percent. The previous week's increase was 2 percent.
DCHD recently began sharing the number of probable coronavirus cases in each municipality. Whereas the graph on DCHD's website includes probable cases, using the site's search bar yields a breakdown of probable and confirmed cases.

In Downers Grove, there have been 519 probable coronavirus cases. Including probable cases, the total coronavirus case count for Downers Grove is at 4,425.

As of April 7, there had been 1,945 cases reported in Westmont. The total number of cases reported in Westmont as of April 13 was 1,978, which reflects an increase of just under 1.7 percent. Last week's increase was just over 1.5 percent.
In Westmont, there have been 157 probable coronavirus cases since March 2020, according to county health records. With probable cases included, the total case count for Westmont is 2,135.
